PETITIONS AND GOI&AIUNI CAT I ONS Communication was received from Inland Waterways Association asking the Council to send delegates to the annual convention at Stockton Filed. RESOLUT ION 110. 83-3, C.S. Introduced by Councilman Torr, seconded by Councilman Healey. Directing the Auditor to draw a - warrant in favor of the Strauss Bascule Bridge,Company f.or the balance of $5`00.00 due on plans �-nd specification. Adopted by seven affirmative votes.. Noes. None Absent: 'None RESOLUTION NO. C.S. Introduced by Councilman Torr, seconded by Councilman Walsh. Granting the Santa Rosa Dil and Burner Company permission 'to, construct an oil burning plant at the residenoe of Mr, Hornbuckle and also at the Hotel Petaluma in East Petaluma. Adopted by seven affirmative votes. Noes: None. Absent: lone. Property owners complain that sidewalzs- ordered on West Street from Main to Kentucky Streets have not been l'ayed. Supt. of Streets was directed t:o again notify the delinquent p= arties and. if not done at once the Council would order same done under the street 'law. The smatter of the assessment for street work on Fourth street in ,frontof the Johnson property opposite the bridge at' that point was taken up for discussion, The Council could do nothing in the matter as the assessment is made in accordance to the street law. The one hundred piles received from San Francisco not being suitable for the purpose intended it was decided to s,el them and the Council agreed t purchase others„ that would anse:r the purpose FIRE APPA RATUS BIDS The following bids were op,en.fos furnishing bids for an auto chemical hole wagon fully equipped. The matter was discussed at length, and.it was finnaly agreed to have the, City Attorney interview all property owners claiming portion of that Street, and if possible to see their abstracts. thereto- He will report later.
