WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Petaluma did, in open sessionro on the 21st day of September, 1914, pub'li.cly open, examine, and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work in said City, tawit: . �4 �4 � The imp.r.o.ve I ment of "I" Street, between the property lines thereof fr.o the North line'of Fifth Street, southerly to the City limits on the south including its intersections -with Fifth, Sixth,, and its terminations and opposite terminations with Seventh Eighth and Olive Streets. The Council rejects all of said proposals or bids except to the lowest responsible bidder to-wit: S. E. Adams at the prices named in his bid. Adopted by S'ix affirmative votes: Noes: None. C6 Cole presented a dlaim fora 20.00 for the opening of the sewer along Washington Street for•the purpose of sdwering into the Redwood Street sewer., The matter was discussed without action. Supt. Shaver asked and was granted permission to purchase two small carloads of oil to be used-for English, Baker and Upham Streets. Wire'Chief McFadden of the Pacific Tel. & T"el. Company asked permission to open Washington Street in . order to install . underground cables across Washington Street at the bridge.On filing the necessary bonds the permit was granted. E. X.. Lippitt through the Mayor asked the Council to eo nstract '.bulk heads along Thompson Greek above IIH" Street to pe washouts.
