Council Chaipbers, October 19th,1914
A meeting of the City Council was held this 19th day of October,
1914 at 7 :30 o'clock. Mayor Horwege in the chair.
PRESENT: Councilman Gossage, McCargar, Torr, Stradling, Healey,
Early and Mayor Horwege.
ABSENT: NONE
READING 'OF JOURNAL
The minutes of a regular meeting of October 5th, and a Special
Meeting of October 13th were read anal approved.
RERDRT OF OFFICERS
The following reports of officers were ,received, read and placed
on file:
Report of Treasurer for the month of September
Report of the Auditor for the month of September
The Clerk presented affidavit of Publication and also affidavit
of Posting "Notice inviting Sealed Proposals" Bassett Street Sewer.
Filed.
The Mayor reported that he had purchased two tons of Railroad Y
4.
Iron from the Electric Road at 10.00 per ton, to be used as
weights for the new Bridge.

RESOLUTION OF AWARD 'NO. 860- C.S.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Petaluma 'did, in :open session,
On the. 19th day of October, publicly open, examine, and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work in said
City, t'owit:
That a six (6) inch ironstone pipe sewer be. constructed. from
the sewer croasing Bassett Street at the west line of Pobt Street,
thence northeasterly along the center of Bassett Street to inter -
section of Bassett and Howard Street to the manhole at the
intersection of Howard and Washington St-r ets. Also manholes will be
cons at points shown in the diagratmof said sewer .
The Council rejects all of said proposals or bids except to
the lowest responsible bidder towt: J. B. Silva at the prices
named in hi-s bid. _

Councilman McCargar brought'up the matter of distributing the
hauling for the- Street Department among the local teamsters. The
matter was- referred. to, the Supt. of St - Teets to adjust.
Councilman Goasag --e called attention to the immediate temporary
repairs of the 6th Street Bridge. Referred,tothe Street Committee
To The same committee was referred the request of F. K. Lippitt
for needed bulkheads, along the creek west of Eighth Street to protect
his land
J. Dawson of the 'Sants;Rosa, Oil and Burner Company appeared
before the Council m y reference t.o the granting of a permit to install
their net oil burner' in this City. 111je matter was discussed and it
