The minutes of a regular meeting of January 4th, were read and approved as recorded. REPORT OF 01 The following reports of officers were read,received Placed on file;-. Report of treasurer for month of December. Report of Auditor for month of December. Cit Attorney made a verbal report stating that he had written the Strauds- Bascule Brdige Co., regarding the Washington Street'b,ri.dge. As yet he has received no reply, but he would follow the matter up and would try to get some action before the next meeting. In reference to the public utility rates . Attorney t i Hall reported the result of-correspondence between himself and. the Railroad: Commissioners relative to the complaint alleging excessive; rates He stated that a formal complaint will be filed by him within a few days. A separate complaint is necessary for each utility affected and it was agreed t.o take up the gas matter only at thi4 time. City Attorney Hall stated that the suit of Snyder vs.. 0 City of Petaluma in. reference to the title of the Shoe Factory lot had beer. decided in favor o.f the City.. He also reported that the case of J.C. Arthur vs-. the City of Petaluma will soon be argued in the higher court. The Clerk presented the oath of office of E. A. Husler as police officer. Filed. Assesso and`Tax Collector , Hopkins, reported. that all taxes and licenses due to date had been collected, Report filed. The Clerk presented. In the,matterof the over-flow of storm water at Third and I Streets, saw was discussed and finally referred to the Street Committee and ^treet Superintendent for investigation and relief.
