Absentl Stradling A Communication was received from Judge Dillon asking for a raise of salary for next term to $ 75.00 per m6nth. Same was referred to the Finance Committee to report next meeting. .A communication was'received from Property owners on Kent cItreet protesting against any street work being done on said street, as no resolution of Intention providing for said work had been ad- opted. the petition,was laid over to be taken up at a proper �. legal time. A Petition was received from Prope -rty owners on "G" Street between Sunny Slope and 11 8th Street, asking the Council to order a sewer constructed on "G" Street and provide an outlet for said sewer. Same was referred to the Street Committee to investigate and report back at next meeting. ' ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE RESOLUTION IZO. 956 C.S. Introduced by Early, seconded by Torr. Adopted by si,x affirmative - votes. Absent: Stradling `T9 633. FEW BUSINESS The Mayor verbally asked for J. Harris permission to construct an iwxi ng in front of his premises in East Washington Street. The is petition was 'denied as it prohibited by local ordinance Street Supt. Shaver reported that tools valued at 3.50 and belonging to J. Morris had been ttolen from the City Oiling plant.; -The Council voted to replace the stolen property. C. F. Furor addredded the Council and asked: for ffinancial aid for Flag Day Exercises on June 14th. The sum of 75.00 was do'natod by the following resolution: RES'OZUTIOIT NO. 958 C.,S. Introduced by Early, seconded by McCargar Donating the sum of $'75.00 to the Flag Committee for celebrating Flag 'Day Adopted by six affirmative votes. Absent: Stralling. Douncilman Gossage brought up the matter of re- embursing Drm Duncan for the time during the diphtheria epidemic. The matter was referred - to the Finance Committee to ieport back. H.J. Foehlmann addredded the Council relative to the condit- ion of ,Mountain view Ave inside the Limits. He stated that at present they feel that they cannot have the Street regularly improved, as the May 17th, 1915 7 frontages are so great, but figare that they can raise about v 200.00 per subcr ption t6 temporary Improvement of the road. They were requested to secure a bona fide subscription list and present it at the'next meeting. In the matter of the securing of the license for the use of warren to for the Improvement of Last Washington Street, the Clerk was dire.ctedJto write to the Warrenite people and ask who is to secure same the contractor or the City. The matter of the disposal of the 20,000 paving blocks now neing- ,removed from Last Wastington Street ca.ine up, a nd the Clerk was direct' to act- vertise for bids for the sale of same.
