The Clerk reported having received check and statement from the (great Western Power CO. for the franchise percentage for ti year ending July 1915. Filed. The'matter was finally referred to the Finance Qoilu with porgy er to act. 666 Councilman Gas,same, suggested the, piling.-and bulkReading L on the East bank of the river from Washington St'. bridge to the foot of Viestern Ave. and arrangements -were made to � the necessary :perm t from the Vf�ar Department. The matter of - the odor arising from the river and the dis- coloring of. the. -, ,; , iatex ,vas discussed at length. It was the opinion of the Counc•ft that this was due to chemical discharged 0 into the stream, and on motion duly- made and seconded the matter was loft in the hands of the City Attorney to investigate and to arrange for the abatement of same. The Mayor reported that the Railroad crossings in East Petaluma will be taken care of°and properly graded by the company owning tracks thereon. Secretary Rankin appeared before the Counci and asked for ,.;.. city aid for the purchase of an automobile.- The matter was discussed and made a special subject for caucus on Friday evening. IVEr.
