AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA, PROVIDING FOR THE
WORK OF REPAIRING THE WASHINGTON STREET BRIDGE, PETALUMA,
CALIFORNIA: APPROVING TIE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.. -.FOR
SAID WORK .AND ESTABLISHING THE PREVAILING WAGE�`SCALE TO
BE PAID.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P ETALUNiA AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. That the City of Petaluma shala cause that
Washington Street bridge to be repaired, including the following
work: '
Remove existing deck and sidewalk, cleaning and repairing
existing stringers, install transverse sills, steel curb section,
bridge planking, timber structures, clean and repaint, plant -mix
surfacing and miscellaneous work. That said work shall be done
in accordance with the plans entitled, 11 1954 - 1955, Washington
Street Bridge Repair ", and the specifications entitled, "Washington
Street Bridge Repair, 1954 - 1955 prepared by the City Engineer
and filed with the City Clerk on the 25th day of October, 1954
which said plans and specifications are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby establishes the
following prevailing wage scale in accordance with provisions of
Section 1770 of the Labor Code:

Apprentice (Oiler, fireman or watdhman) $2.345
Carpenter

Flagman

Heavy duty repairman

Heavy duty repairman- helper

Painter (brush)

Flat rack trucks, carrying between
1000 lbs. & 4500 lbs.

Flat rack trucks carrying over 4500 lbs.

All calssifications omitted herein to be paid
not less than $2.075 per hour. Eight hours
shall constitute a working day. All Workmen
shall be paid time -and- one -half for over -time,
and double time on holidays.
Section 3. That the cost of said work shall be paid from
the general fund and charged against budget section 136.520.
