REPORT OUT OF CLOSED SESSION (ACTIONS TAKEN)
City Attorney Danly stated that the Council directed settlement of pending litigation (an unfair
labor practice charge) before the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) brought by the
Petaluma Professional and Mid -Managers Association (PPMA) against the City. Within forty-eight
hours of execution of the settlement agreement, the PPMA will withdraw the charge against the
City. Within twenty-four hours of execution of the agreement, the City will post a memo
regarding the City's duty of neutrality in representation disputes, and City Attorney Danly will

produce a signed letter of apology. City Attorney Danly and City Manager Brown will also
attend a California Public Employers Labor Relations Association (CALPELRA) training on labor
relations.
GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT
Vice Mayor Healy opened GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT.
Peter Tscherneff, Petaluma, spoke on a variety of political topics.
Helen Grieco, Petaluma, thanked Council for their position on Verizon cell towers in the city and
informed them about a newly formed community group: mystreetmychoice.com.
Julie Sherman, Petaluma, is concerned about an apartment building taking the place of the
Deer Creek Dog Park.
Vice Mayor Healy
Stephanie Bastianon, Executive Director of Friends of the Petaluma River, read a letter from the
community group regarding supporting the immediate dredging of the Petaluma River.
Katherine Brobowski, Petaluma, spoke of the problems at the mobile home park where she lives.
Caitlin Quinn, Petaluma, member of the Youth Commission and Animal Services Committees,
supports Deer Creek Dog Park, and offered the Committee's assistance.
Beverly Schor, Petaluma, is opposed to the proposed charter amendment, and suggested a
town hall meeting to include the community's input.
