That the Council has determined-,to: amend and hereby does ameyll.d the annual Appropriation Ordinance No. 354 ;­Nr, - S - f or the f iscal year ending June 30, 1955, for the purpose of appropriating ava-' . in the sum of $24,369.66, not included in the annual bUdget, for the purp - pses hereinafter set forth in Sections 2, 3, 4 and 5 hereof. Section 2. That the sum of `$13,000.00 available revenue in the I Assessment District No. 2 N.S. Fund, be and the same is hereby appropriated for the following purposes: Payment to bond holders of bonds,, qmed in advance of maturity to date .................................. $IO (2) Estimated to be paid to bond holders before July 1, 1955 .............. 2,,388.09 Total $13,000.00 Se.ctibn 3. That the sum of 88,949.08 available revenue in the' 1953 Sanitary Sewage System Construction Fund, not,included in the annual budget, shall be and the same is' hereby appropriated for the purpose of authorizing the following expenditures, already paid and charged against said fund: (1). That the sum of'S2,000.00 available revenue represent- ing surplus in the General Fund, shall be and the same is hereby appropriated for. the purpose of paying expenses incurred in connection with the McNear Park Softball Diamond, not included in the annual budget. Section 6. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance necessary for the immediate preservation of the public,peace, health and safety of the City of Petaluma, and shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passage by unanimous vote of the members of the Citv Council present at the time of its adoption. The reason for the urgency of this ordinance is due primarily to the (2) fact that there are not sufficient moneys appropriated for said purposes prior to the end of the fiscal year, June 30, 1955, and that its passage is necess to carry on the functions of this City, and tarticularly those relating to the protection of public peace., health and safety of the City.
