ADAMS AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 340 N. C, S. BY RECLASSIFYING. THE OF 87 031 -15 AND NO. b- UJZ -r, rnv— n11 "R -3" ZONE OR DISTRICT TO AN "M" ZONE OR DISTRICT . .... .......... BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN- CIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Council finds that the Planning Commission . filed with the City Council on the 17th day of October, 1955 its report; as set .forth in its Resolution No. 36, recommending the adoption of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S.. by reclassifying from an "R -3" zone w district to an "M" zone, or district the southwesterly corner of Western Avenue and Baker Street and the southerly side of West- ern Avenue between Upham and Baker Streets, Assessor Parcel No. 8- 031 -15 and No. 8- 032 -1, as shown on the. map attached to said resolution and to this ordinance, which said property is particularly and specifical- ly bounded and described as follows, to wit: All that certain lot, piece or par- cel of land situate, lying and being in the County of Sonoma, State of California, and being more partic- ularly described as follows: PARCEL ONE: Beginning at the southwest corner of Baker Street and Wester.• Avenue; thence west- erly along the southerly property line of Western Avenue 150 feet to a point: thence southeasterly along the westerly property line 265 feet mor^ or less to a point; thence northeasterly along the southerly property line 163 feet to the prop- erty lire of Baker Street; thence northwesterly along the southwest - er'y property line of Baker Street 197 `yet to the point of beginning. PARCEL TWO: Beginning at the southeast corner of Baker Street and Western Avenue; thence south- easterly along the northeasterly property line of Baker Street 145 feet more or less to a point thence northeasterly along the southeast- erly property line 200 feet to a point; thence at right angles to the left. 10 feet: thence at right angles to the right 99 feet to the south- westerly property line of Upham Street; thence northerly along the southwesterly property line of Up- ham Street 1.02 feet to the south- westerly corner of Upham Street and Western Avenue; thence west- erly along the southerly line of Western Avenue 334.78 feet to the point of beginning. Section 2. The City Council further finds that said Planning Commission held a hearing on said proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S. on October 4, 1955, after having given notice of said hearing in the manner, for the per- iod and in the form required by said Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., as amend- ed by Ordinance No. 405 N. C. S. Section 3. That pursuant to Sec- tion 11.15 of said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., as amended by Or- dinance No. 405 N. C. S., the City, Council hereby adopts an amend- ment to said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S. so as to reclassify said property hereinbefore described from an "R -3" zone or district to an "M' zone or district. Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this ordinance in the Petaluma Argus- Courier, the offi- cial newspaper of the City, including said map showing the description of said property to be reclassified and rezoned hereunder, for the period and in th manner required by the Cit.v Charter.
