NORWOOD AN '.ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 340 N. C. S. BY RECLASSIFYING THE SOU'T'HEASTERLY CORNER OF EAST WASHINGTON STREET AND iMcDOWELL ROAD (PORTION OF GUTERMUTE ANNEXATION), 162 FT. x 150 FT., FROM A. "U" ZONE OR DISTRICT TO A "C -1" ZONE OR DISTRICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN- CIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Council finds that the Planning Commission filed with the City Council on the 21st day of May; 1956, its report, as set forth in its Resolution No. 55, recommending the adoption of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S. by reclassifying from a' "U" zone or district to a "C -1" zone or district the southeasterly corner of East Washington Street and licDoweil Road (portion of Gutermute Annexation), 162 ft. x 150 ft., as shown on the map attached to said resolution and to this ordinance, which said property is particularly and specifical- ly bounded and described as follows, to wit All that certain land situate in the City of Petaluma County of Sonoma, State of California, and being more particularly described a_ s.'follows Being a portion of Lot 219, as numbered and designated upon the Map of Petaluma Rancho, ,recorded February 3, 1872, in Book 21 of Maps, page 1, Sonoma County Rec- ords, said portion being described as follows Commencing at the intersection of the southeasterly line of Wash- ington Street with the northeasterly line of ;McDowell Road and running thence south 54° 31' 30" east along the northeasterly line of McDowell Road 162 feet; thence north 35 23' "0" east and parallel with Wash- ington Street, 150 feet; thence north 54° 31' 30" west and parallel with McDowei. Road 162 feet to the southeasterly line of Washington Street; thence along said line south 35 28' 30" west 150 feet to the point of commencement. Being a portion of Lot 219 of the Petaluma Rancho. Section 2. The City Council further finds that said Planning Commission held a hearing on said proposed rmendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S. on the 15th day of ay, 1956, alter having given notice of said hearing in the manner, fo the period and' in the form require by said Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S.. as amended by Ordinance No. 405 N. C. S. Section 3. That pursuant to Section 11.15 of said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., as amended by Ordi- -nee No. 405 N. C. S., the City Council hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S. so as to reclassify said prop- erty hereinbefore described from a "U" zone or district to a "C -1" zone or district. Section 4. The City Clerk is here- by directed to publish this ordinance in the Petaluma Argus Courier, the official newspaper of the City, in- cluding said map showing the descrip- tion of said property to be reclassi- fied and rezoned hereunder, for the period and in the manner required by the City Charter.
