ADAMS J 17 AIN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR COMPREHENSIVE LIABILITY INSURANCE AND FLEET AND PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE * ON CITY' S VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT THEREON. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1, That the City of Petaluma shall procure an insurance policy with the following coverages, to.wita. general comprehensive liability and fleet and public liability insurance on vehicles of the City and the equipment thereon as per the schedule thereof on file in the office of the City:`Clerk. Said insurance to cover the period from the expiration of the;.pre'sent policy on June 30,9 1956 to July 1, 1957. Section 2. That said insurance policy contract shall be awarded. to the lowest responsible bidder, after publication of notice to bidders in the manner and for the period required by the City Charter. .Section 3. That the cost of said insurance premiums shall be apportioned to and charged against the various budget sections of. the respective departments using said equipment. Section 4, This ordinance is necessaryfor the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the City, for the reason that said insurance, must be made effective prior to the expiration of the present policy, and for said reason this ordinance shall go into effect upon its adoption by unanimous vote of the members present at the time of its adoption.
