BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THF CITY OF PETALIM AS FOLLMWS:
Section 1. That the City of Petaluma purchase galvanized
pipe and fittings to be used in the construction and maintenance of
sprinklin systems in the parrs in the City of Petaluma, as followis:

Section 2, That the contract for the purchase: of said
pipe and fittings authorized.by this Ordinance shall be awarded to
the lowest responsible bidder after advertising for bids in the
manner$ form and for the period required by the City Charter.
Section 3, That the cost of said _pipe and fittings shell
be paid from and charged against the .General Fund.
Section 4, This Ordinance is hereby declared to be
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health
and safety of the City of Petaluma, and shall take effect and be in
force from and after its final passage by the unanimous vote of the
members of the City Council_ present at the time of its adoption.
The reason for the urgency of this Ordinance is that the work of
constructing a sprinkling system in Oak Hill Park is to be done in
conjunction with the work'of constructing two roads through Oak bill
Park, and for the further reason that said work must be done as soon
as possible in order that the citizens of Petaluma may.use said park
for their enjoyment and recreation before the winter rains,

MAYOR SCHOENINGH.

in the City of Petaluma, to -wit:. In the City Hall on. the 13th day of September,
1956.
I hereby certify that the whole number of members of the Council of the
City of Petaluma is seven, and that the foregoing ordinance was passed by the
Council at its meeting of the 17th day of September, 1956, by the following
vote, to -wit:
AYES, Councilmen Adams, Bigelow, Crinella, Gustafson, King and Mayor
Schoeningh.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Gouncilman town.
