Brown AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CON- STRUCTION OF A STORM DRAIN IN THE BOOKER SUBDIVISION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCILw -OE- THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That a storm drain be constructed to serve 1 the Booker Subdivision. Said storm drain to be constructed'on the following easements granted to the City of Petaluma for this pur- pose and accepted by Resolution No. 1764 N.C.S.: 1. A ten foot (10 storm drain easement granted by Mervyn C. Gossner and JoAnne B. Gossner, his wife.. to the City of Petaluma,.across the land owned by them located at 989 Phillips Avenue, Petaluma, California, dated September 21, 1956. 2, A ten foot MI) storm drain easement granted by Arthur R. Pedrani and Rose L. Pedrani, his wife, to the City of Petaluma, across the land owned by them located at 1004 Mt. View Avenue, Petaluma, California, dated September 27 .- l 3. A ten foot (10') storm drain easement granted by Henry P. 0 and Clarndell O'Hagan,_his wife, to the City of Petaluma, across the land by them located at 1000 Mt. View Avenue, Petaluma, California, dated October 8, 1956. Section 2© That said work shall be done in accordance 1 with the plans and specifications for said work entitled.. "Booker Storm Drain Construction "; prepared and approved by'Russell WO , Ingram, City Engineer, and filed with the City Clerk on the 15th day - of October, 1956, which said plans" 'specifications are` hereby approved and adopted for said project. Sec tion 3, That said work authorized by this ordinance shall be'done by contract awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, af advertising for bids in the manner, form and for the period required by the'City Charter. Section 4, That the cost of said work shall be paid from the 1953 Storm Water & Drainage Fund. Section 5. This ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety for the reason that unless said work is done immediately, and before the rains, the same will further deteriorate as a result of the rains thereon. 111 o.r said reasons this ordinance shall become effective upon its passage by the unanimous vote of the members present at the time of adoption.
