Crinella AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA PROVIDING FOR THE WORK OF EXTENDING THE "D" STREET SANITARY SEWER FROM COPELAND STREET TO WELLER STREET; APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR SAID WORK; PROVIDING THAT THE COST THEREOF SHALL BE PAID FROM THE 1953 SANITARY SEWAGE SYSTEM CON -_ STRUCTION AND DETERMINING THAT THE ANCE OF SAID WORK CONSTITUTES AN URGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City of Petaluma shall cause -the following work. to be completed, to wit: The extension of the existing sewer line on 'D' Street from Copeland Street to Weller Street by the installation of twelve inch (12 ") asbestos cement or vitrified clay pipe, constructing one manhole,, installing a- pipe liner where the sewer runs under the railroad tracks, and making all connections as required, to be known as the "'D' Street Sewer Extension, Copeland to Weller" Section 2. That said work shall be done iii.-accordance with the plans and specifications entitled, ""D' Street Sewer Copeland to Weller ", pre- y pared by the City Engineer and filed with -,the City Clerk on: the 3rd day of December,. 1956, which said plans and specifications 'are hereby approved. Section 3 . That said work authorized by this ordinance shall be done by contract awarded to lowest responsible bidder, after advertising therefor in the'manner, form and for the period required by the City Charter. Section 4 . That the cost of said work authorized by this ordinance shall be paid from and charged against the 1953 Sanitary Sewage System Construction Fund. Section 5 . That the work provided for under this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the City of Petaluma for the reason that if the same is not completed before the rainy season, it will create a health hazard. For said reason this ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption by the unanimous vote of the Councilmen Present at the meeting when said ordinance is adopted.
