BY RECLASSIFYING FROM "R-2 ", "R -3" AND "U" ZONES OR DISTRICTS TO "C -1" AND "R -3" ZONES OR DISTRICTS A PORTION OF LOTS NO. 8- 142 -10 AND 8 -142- 14, •LOTS NO. 8- 142 -11, 8. 142.12, 8- 142.13, 8- 142 -15, 8- 142 -16, 8- 092.10, 8- 092`12, T H.E SOUTHEASTERLY HALF OF LOTS 8- 092 -13, 8- 092 -14 AND 8. 092 -15, AS SHOWN IN THE A'SSESSOR'S PARCEL BOOK, AND THAT PORTION OF SPRING STREET NOW ABANDONED. That the City Council_ rinds that the Planning Commission filed with the City Council on the 4th day of March, 1957 its report, as sett forth r„ its Resolution No. 69, reconimending the adoption of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S. by reclassifying and E °zoning a portion of Lots No. 8-142 - and 8- 74244, Lots No. 8- 142 -11, 8- 142-12; 8- 142.13, 8- 142.15, 8- 142 -16, 8- 092-10, 8- 09278, the southeasterly half of Lots 8-092.13, 8. 092 -14 and 8. 092.15, as shown in the Assessor's Parcel Book. and that portion of Spring Street now abandoned, from "R -2 ", "R 3 and "U" zones or districts to other specified zones or districts, as shnwn on the map A t to said resolution and to this ordinance, as ;follows to wit: 1. Section 2. The City Council further finds that said Planning Commission held a hearing on said proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 340, N. C. S. on the 5th day of February, 1957, after having given notice of said hearing in .the manner, for the period and in the form re- quired by said Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., as amended by • Ordinance No. 405 -N. C. S. Section 3. That pursuant to Section 11.15 of said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., as amended by Ord!- nance No. 405 N. C. S., the City Coun- cil hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., so as to reclassify and rezone the property. described'in Subsection I of Section 1 hereof from an "R -3" zone or district to a "C -1" zone or dis- trict, as recommended by said Plan- ning Commission, and as shown on the map hereunto annexed, hereby referred to and by this reference made a part of this ordinance. Section 4. That pursuant to Section 11.15 of said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., as amended by Ordi- nance No. 405 N. C. S., the City Council hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., so as to reclassify and re- zone the property described in Sub- section 2 of Section 1 hereof from an "R -2" zone or district to an "R -3" zone or district, as recommended by said Planning Commission 'and as shown on the map hereunto annexed, hereby referred to and °`by this- refer- ence made a part of�thi$ ordinance. Section 5. That pursuant to - Section 11.15 of said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., as amended by Ordi. nance No. 405 N. C S ?'tlie City Coun- cil hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning Ordln6hce No. 340 N. C. S., so as to reclassify and rezone the property described in Subsection 3 of Section 1 hereof from an "11-2" zone or district to a "C -1" zone or district, as recommended by said Planning Commission, and as shown on the map hereunto annexed, here- by referred to -and by this reference made a part of this ordinance. Section 6. That pursuant to Section 11.15 of said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., as amended by Ordi- nance No. 405 N. C. S., the City Council hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning Ordinance No. 340 N. C. S., so as to reclassify and re- zone the property described in Sub- section 4 of Section 1 hereof from a "U" zone or district to a "C -1" zone or district, as recommended by said Planning Commission, and as shown on the map hereunto annexed, here- by referred to and by this reference made a part of this ordinance. Section 7. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this ordi- rance in the Petaluma Argus- Courier, the official newspaper of the City, including said map showing the de. scription of said property to be re- classified and rezoned hereunder, for the period and in the manner re- quired by the City Charter.
