AN ORDINANCE TO .AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 476 N. C. S.,
WHICH PROVIDED FOR THE REPAIR OF APPROXIMATELY
ONE MILE OF CITY STREETS, . TO CORRECT TYPOGRAPHICAL
ERROR IN THE FUND FROM WHICH SAID WORK SHALL BE PAID.
BE .IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TH-E CITY OF PETALUMA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance'No. 476 N. C. S. be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows: - -
"Section 4. That the cost of said 'Work shall be paid from. the
Unbudgeted Reserve- Fund-. "
Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to,be necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the City of
Petaluma and shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passage
by unanimous vote of the members of the City Council present at the time of
its adoption. The reason for. the. urgency of this .or'dinance is due primarily to
the. -fact that-7 d.-work was authorized' and_perform:ed during the .current fiscal
year. arid;°must-be paid during that fiscal year, therefore, its passage is necessary
in order that the Auditor may pay the contractor for said work before the end of
this fiscal year on June 30, 1957.

I hereby certify that the whole number of members of the .Council .of
the City of Petaluma is seven, and that the foregoing ordinance was passed by
the Council at its meeting of the 17th day of June; 1957, by the following vote,
to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen Adams, Bigelow, Brown, Crinella, Gustafson, King and
Mayor Schoeningh.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
