Me- CAUSLAND AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF A SELF -PRO PELLED DOUBLE LINE STRIPING MACHINE - P.E'IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN- CIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS FOLLOWS` Section 1. That this City purchase one (1) self - propelled double line striping machine, the isame to con- form kith, the following. specifica- tions: Engine: One (1) cylinder, four (4) cycle. air- cooled gasoline engine de- veloping a minimum of 6 H. P. Compressor: Minimum 18 C. F. M. displacement. Paint Tank: Minimum 15 gallon nominal capacity. ;Skip -line Attachment: Set for 9 -15 cycle. Section 2. That said striping ma- chine be purchased pursuant to con- tract after calling for bids in the manner, form and:for the period re- quired by the City Charter. Section 3. That the cost of said striping machine be paid out of the General Fund and charged against Budget Section 134.520. Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary for the im- mediate preservation of the, public peace, health and safety and shall take effect and be in force upon its pass ,ige by unanimous vote of the members of the City Council present at the tim^ of its adoption. The rea- son for the urgency of this Ordi- �-n ^� is that the striping on the r 's of the City, particularly Main Mfr , ct, is barely visible and unless said striping is done immediately and before the rains, the same can- not be done as a result of the rains thereon until after the Winter rainy season and said striping on the streets should be clearly visible at all times in order to insure public safety.
