HERBERT GANS AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF LAND ON FELLER - STR.EE.T IN THE CITY OF PETALUMA FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING THE SAME FOR A MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is : necessary and to the best in- terests of the City to acquire additional land adjacent to its existing Keller. Street parking blot, in order to enlarge. the parking area; and MHEREAS, the owners of the land more particularly hereinafter described, I , WILLIAM C. LEE and FRANCES B. LEE, his wife, have offered the same to the City of Petaluma for the sum of Forty thousand six hundred fifty and no /100ths ($40, 650; 00) Dollars; and EREAS, this Council finds. the said price is fair and reasonable and should Be purchased for the said price, W, THEREFORE, BE IT' BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor and the City Clerk, be, and they are hereby authorized to execute an Agreement to Purchase with William C. Lee and Frances B. Lee, his wife., for, the property described as follows: Lot Number 316, as shown upon the map - .entitled ' "Map of the o -ty of Petaluma, Sonoma County, California, surveyed under in- structions from the Board of Trustees of said C -ity and the U. S. Sur- veyor General, by Jas. T. :Stratton, U. S. -Dep. Surveyor, Dec. 1865 ", filed in the office of the County Recorder of Sonoma County, California, on ,December 30, 1865'. Excepting therefrom that portion thereof decreed to belong to S J. Canevascini,: by drer.:ee of, the Superior Court of the State of Califo,rzia,in and for the County of Sonoma, in the suit of Mary E. Sullivan vs: S. J,. Canevascini, rendered on August 9, 1909, and a certified copy whereof was recorded on A ugust 24, 1909, . in Liber 258 of Deeds, page 280. Said portion thereof is: described as being all that portion of said Lot 316 dying Southerly of a line described as follow s: ® Beginning at a point on the Easterly side .line of Keller Street where, the same is intersected by the Northwesterly corner of the two story .frame building of said defendant; and thence running Easterly and along the Northerly -face line cf f said stable building to the Northeasterly corner therof; thence Southerly and along the Easter- ly side of the face of said stable 'building, to the Northerly line of the base of the cement fo:Undation wall of and .which supports the brick wall erected by said defendant.
