AUTHORIZING THE POSITION ALLOCATION
OF ONE PARKS MAINTENANCE LEAD WORKER
AND ELIMINATING THE POSITION ALLOCATION OF
ONE PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKER II
WHEREAS, the City Manager/Personnel Officer has determined that certain duties and
responsibilities are currently performed by one Parks Maintenance Worker II position are more
appropriately performed under the Parks Maintenance Lead Worker classification; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager/Personnel Officer has determined the addition of one
Parks Maintenance Lead Worker position allocation and elimination of one Parks Maintenance
Worker II position allocation properly aligns the description of the duties and responsibilities of
the existing workload.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Petaluma as follows:
1. City staff have given proper notice of this action.
2. The City Council takes this action pursuant to Petaluma Municipal Code 3.04.020,
the City of Petaluma Personnel Rules and Regulations (Rule IV- Classification and
Rule V — Compensation) and, other applicable requirements.
3. The City Council authorizes the position allocation of one Parks Maintenance Lead
Worker effective with the adoption of this Resolution.
4. The City Council eliminates the position allocation of one Parks Maintenance Worker
II effective with the adoption of this Resolution.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
