AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO 2019 GO -4 INTERCEPTOR IV THREE
WHEELED UTILITY VEHICLES AND STANDARD ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT IN
THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $82,627.53, AND THE PURCHASE OF TWO
PARKING ENFORCEMENT LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION (LPR) CAMERA
SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED SOFTWARE IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$50,974.93, AND THE PURCHASE OF STANDARD ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT NOT
TO EXCEED $10,000, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma Police Department has identified a need to replace two
parking enforcement vehicles and proposes to purchase two LPR parking enforcement camera
systems; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with section 4.04.050 of the Petaluma Municipal Code
allows that bidding procedures may be dispensed with when the commodity can be obtained
from only one vendor; and
WHEREAS, the Petaluma Police Department has standardized LPR camera systems and
software to maximize flexibility, convenience, and cost in training, spare parts, operation and
maintenance; and
WHEREAS, LEHR is the Petaluma Police Department's supplier of Vigilant Solutions
LPR parking enforcement camera systems.
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma Police Department has identified a need to replace two
parking enforcement vehicles and proposes to purchase two GO -4 Interceptor IV Three Wheeled
Utility Vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Petaluma Police Department has standardized parking enforcement
vehicles to maximize flexibility, convenience, and cost in training, spare parts, operation and
maintenance; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Maintenance Equipment is the Petaluma Police Department's
manufacturer of GO -4 Interceptor IV Three Wheeled Utility Vehicles
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL
HEREBY:
1. Approves the purchase of two vigilant solutions license plate recognition (LPR)
parking enforcement camera systems and associated software in the Amount Not to
Exceed $50,974.93; and
2. Authorizes the City Manager, or her designee, to execute any necessary agreements
and documents to complete the purchase of the vehicles, the LPR parking
enforcement camera systems, and related equipment/software.

Approves the purchase of Two 2019 GO -4 Interceptor IV Three Wheeled Utility
Vehicles from Municipal Maintenance Equipment in an amount not to exceed
$82,627.53; and Standard Accessory Equipment in an amount not to exceed $10,000.
4. Authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to execute any necessary agreements
and documents to complete the purchase of the vehicles and related equipment.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
