HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2019-146 N.C.S. 09/09/2019Resolution No. 2019-146 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSITION ALLOCATION OF A.80 FTE HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST AND ELIMINATING THE POSITION ALLOCATION OF ONE HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT II WHEREAS, the City Manager, acting as the Personnel Officer, has determined that certain duties and responsibilities currently performed by the Human Resources Assistant II classification are more appropriately performed under the Human Resources Specialist classification; and, WHEREAS, the City Manager, acting as the Personnel Officer, has determined the addition of a Human Resources Specialist position allocation at .80 FTE and elimination of one Human Resources Assistant II position allocation properly aligns the description of the duties and responsibilities of the existing workload within the Human Resources Department and City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma hereby: 1. Takes these actions pursuant to Petaluma Municipal Code 3.04.020 and the City of Petaluma Personnel Rules and Regulations (Rule IV- Classification and Rule V — Compensation) and other applicable authorities. 2. Authorizes the position allocation of a.80 FTE Human Resources Specialist. 3. Eliminates the position allocation of one Human Resources Assistant II. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
