Vol. XX, Page 3 Corrie Johnson, North Bay Organizing Project (NBOP), Petaluma Chapter, encouraged Council to include focus on tenant protection for the lowest income renters as part of the City's approach to the housing crisis. Amber Szoboszlai, Petaluma, North Bay Organizing Project (NBOP), Petaluma Chapter, Co -Chair, spoke about the need to give renters more protection than they already have. Vol. XX, Page 4 July 29, 2019 1 2 Dennis Pocekay, Petaluma, North Bay Organizing Project (NBOP), Petaluma 3 Chapter, spoke of the need for a large project comprised entirely of affordable 4 housing. 5 6 Shelley Clark, Health and Policy Attorney for Legal Aid of Sonoma 7 County, encouraged tenant protections including just -cause -eviction, rent caps, 8 etc. Offered Council and City Staff her services. 9 10 Duane Bellinger, Petaluma, the Corona Station proposal is not an appropriate 11 solution for the demographic spoken about. Affordable housing should be built 12 close to schools, parks, and shopping centers. 13 14 Mayor Barrett 15 16 Mr. Bellinger 17 18 Zahrya Garcia, Petaluma, North Bay Organizing Project (NBOP), Petaluma 19 Chapter, Co -Chair, encouraged Council and Staff to work on both affordable 20 housing supply and tenant protection.
