36 Chairperson Bennett - Regarding Rules and Regulations Section 512 - League of
37 California Cities definition - "Standard Language" - run definition by City Attorney,
38 possibly City -wide review. Circulate pamphlets to all Commissioners regarding Brown
39 Act and Conflict of Interest. Rules and Regulations Section 401 - Chairperson's role is to
40 keep Commission meeting running; facilitator. Section 403 - What does this mean?
41 Commissioner Broad - Sections 509 -510 - No public involvement in staff report review
42 and comment when reports are completed 4 -5 days in advance; suggested 7 -day advance.
43 Keep maps and detailed description, mail notice to Planning Commission.
44 Commissioner Vieler - Get packets one week in advance. Video /audio tapes for number
45 of years. What is requirement for keeping tapes?

Minute Format:
Chairman Bennett - Not important to have close to verbatim minutes, specificity is not
necessary; getting the sense of the discussion action taken with special conditions is
needed.
Commissioner Healy - Emphasize questions and new conditions; summary of issues;
public comments; reason for dissenting vote.
Commission Issues:
Commissioner Bennett - Story poles applicable to SPARC. Require /encourage
neighborhood communication statement in application.
Other Issues:
Staff /Liaison update of City Council actions.
Include City council follow -up sheets in Planning Commission packet.
Condition interpretation.
