City Manager Bierman announced that the Employee of the Second Quarter was T.J.
Woodd, Water Resources and Conservation Utility Supervisor.
• Update on Petaluma Health Care District's Health Education Programs by Teresa
Jensen. - This item was continued to the 7:00 p.m. session due to technical difficulties.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Jessica Van Gardner, Petaluma Visitors Program, Petaluma, thanked Council for the TOT
funds for Sesquicentennial Celebration, and also on behalf of the Petaluma River
Authority thanks for improved security and conditions on the docks. She also spoke about
a possible Petaluma Film Festival to be held this Fall, and the AMGEN California Bike Tour.

Fortuna, told Council that one of her employees was beat up by gang members last
week when he was wearing a red baseball cap. She said she is concerned about the

Tiffany Ren6e, Petaluma, expressed concern about climate changes "we
are just beginning to see" and their effect on the water supply.
David Yearsley, Petaluma, said he is delighted that the urinals at City Hall
and the marina work without flushing and wondered if these could be
available to commercial users elsewhere.

City Attorney Danly announced that Council had voted unanimously to authorize
execution by Mayor Torliatt of an amendment to City Manager Bierman's contract. The
amendment provides for a one-month extension to April 30, 2008; release from the
functions of the City Manager's position on or about December 3, 2007; compensation
to be continued until April 30, 2008 using accrued vacation hours, and granting of an
additional 352 hours of vacation.
5. NEW BUSINESS
A. Resolutions Appointing Members to City Boards, Commissions, and
Committees. (Cooper)
Mayor Torliatt suggested that the appointments to the Airport
Commission, Animal Services Advisory Committee, Historic and Cultural
Preservation Committee, Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee,
Recreation, Music, and Parks Commission, Senior Advisory Committee,
and Technology and Telecommunications Advisory Committee be made
with one motion and vote.
Council Member O'Brien asked that the Airport Commission appointments
not be included in the motion.
