CORRESPONDENCE None. DIRECTOR'S REPORT: Mr.. Salmons gave a progress report on the ,status of e ever ° an revision. COMMISSIONERS' REPORT Commissioner Head volunteered to, speak to service organizations on the Commission's behalf on the General Plan revision project. Consideration of use permit. The public hearing was opened. SPEAKERS: Mr. and Mrs. Webb - 3.27 Howard St.- spoke against accessory dwelling. Charles Berman - applicant - clarified some aspects of his proposal. Erma Burnett - 328 Pleasant Street - spoke against accessory dwelling because of traffic impact. Peggy Williamson - 329 Pleasant Street - spoke against accessory dwelling. Charles Hole 325 'Pleasant Street - spoke against accessory dwelling. Not Official Until .Approved By The Planning Commission 21 l 1 337 Five letters from nearby property owners were presented by the speakers. All letters were opposed to the accessory dwelling.. The writers were: The De - 19 Park Ave. Dr. Stuart and Family - 323 Howard Mr. and Mrs. William - 13 Park Ave. The Lauder's - 35 Park Ave. Mrs. Pedrazzini - 36 Park Ave. The public hearing was closed. A motion was made by Commissioner Hilligoss to deny the use permit due certifylfinding 3 of the staff report. Public Convenience and Necessity. t` The public hearing was opened. SPEAKERS: Mr. Norman Doty - applicant;, stated no objections to the amended conditions. i The public hearing was closed. J' A motion was made by Commissioner Sobel and seconded by Commissioner Woolsey, to recommend approval of an Automobile -For -Hire Certificate subject to the conditions listed in the staff report as amended. AYES: 1 5 NOES: 0 ABSENT: 2 (Libarle, Serpilio) Conditions. 2 3. The accessory dwelling will, -nbt under circumstances of this particular case, constitute a nuisance or be detrimental to the public welfare of toe community. 338 1. When not in use, the limousine shall be stored within the fenced parking area or the :existing structure. 2. Any sign relative to the limousine 'service shall require a sign permit. ,. 3. The entire site - shall be cleared of weeds and debris prior to commencement of limousine service, and maintained thereafter 4. Approval by the Public Utilities Commission shall be secured prior , .to the issuance of the certificate of convenience. 5. Should adequacy of parking area on the rear lot appear to be overburdened, the certificate of convenience shall be subject to recall and review by the City Council. 6. Consideration of variance to allow free - standing pole sign. The public hearing was opened. SPEAKERS: Mr. Richard Lieb agent for the applicant, requested a continuance the Commission meeting of August 13. ; The Commission concensus was to grant the continuance to the meeting of August 13.
