HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 97-237 08/18/1997 Resolution No. 97-23~ N.C.S. of the City of Petalun~~> California 1 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER z TO SIGN A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH 3 WASHINGTON SQUARE ASSOCIATES a FOR A STOREFRONT LOCATION s 6 ~ WHEREAS, the Petaluma City Council wishes to improve access to City services within the 8 city, and 9 to WHEREAS, the Washington Square Associates are offering a storefront location, free of tt monthly rental fees, for the purposes of developing improved access to City services on the t2 Eastside of Petaluma and, 13 la WHEREAS, this location offers needed office space for; meetings, supply storage, citizen 15 contacts, victim/witness interviews, training, emergency operations, report writing, etc., and, 16 17 WHEREAS, this location offers convenient access to certain City services and reduced 18 response times for police/citizen contacts. 19 zo NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager is authorized to enter into 2t a lease agreement for a 2,500 square foot commercial business space located in the zz Washington Square Shopping Center. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
