DIRECTOR'S REPORT: Mr. Freitas advised the members of the commission
[�] G that the Draft Housing .Element would be presented
at the June 8, 1982 meeting. The City's con -
sultantilwould be available at that meeting.

ZONING O.RDINANCE AMENDMENTS - SECTIONS 1 -203, 11 -363 12 -303, 13 -303

Mr. Freitas reviewed the proposed amendments for the members of the
commission. After a brief discussion, the commissioners felt they
were inija position to vote on this item.
A motion was introduced by Comm. Head, seconded by Comm. Popp to
recommenid that the City Council review and approve the proposed Zon-
ing Ordinance Amendments regarding regulation of coin operated games.
AYES 5 NOES 0 ABSENT 2 (Comm. Lavin and Shearer)
Comm. Waite asked the Planning Director and his staff to advise the
City Council, of concerns regarding the possibility of waiving.fees
for businesses which, by virtue of having existing g.ames, must obtain
a use permit.

Item 1.353 to consider a use permit application for a vehicle
repair /weld''in.g shop to be located at 1308 Dynamic St.
Mr. Fretas commented on the general condition of the industrial
building a.t:. 1308.'Dynami,c St., noting that this is one of the older
sites iu.th.e Industrial Park and has been in a run-down condition.
The owne',r, however, has been working with the city t'o upgrade the
facility and has an understanding to insure compliance with the
conditions of several previously approved use permits. Therefore,
sta.ff is prepared recommend approval on use - permits (1.352 and
1.353).

ITEM 1.353 - Conditions

1. Noloutdoor storage of goods, tires, engines., machinery, trash,
vehicles under repair, etc., shall take place .on -site.
LO 2. All' - repair, servicing and related activities shall take place indoors.

3. The existing outdoor advertising sign for the business was erected
without the benefit of a City Sign permit and is inconsistent with
LLJ the approved sign program for the building. The sign shall, therefore,
beliremoved within ten days. Any new outdoor advertising signs shall
beilconsistent in design with the .approved sign program.
4. Ali landscaping shall be permanently maintained in accordance with
Section 23 -301 of the.Zoning Ordinance (below).
