The meeting began at 7:54 p.m.
PRESENT: Comm. Popp, Shearer, Tencer and Waite
. ABSENT: Comm. Harberson, Head, and Lavin

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: - Minutes f June 22 1982 were approved � o pp d as corrected:

DIRECTOR'S REPORT: - 1) The City Council overturned two variances that
were denied by the Commission for 352 Petaluma
Blvd. No. (Dick Pieraccini), and 501 Second St.
(Harold Metcalfe) at its meeting of July 12th.

2) The Council adopted an Accessory Dwelling.Ordinance.
3) ;;JjThe Council directed staff to review and bring back additional information
on flooding mitigation, essentially a policy that .-Council can adopt that will
include both a fee structure and formalized policy;

Item 2.308 - To consider a request by Paul.Andrew`to waive 34 required parking
spaces at the Farrell Restaurant at 222 Weller Street.
. Vice:-'Chairman Waite directed'staff to s item. City Attorney Joe
Forest clarified "'Conditions Necessary For A Variance," that the code
language reads "conditions," but it should really say "findings." In order
to grant this or any other variance;, 'the Commission must make a finding that
allj�jec.t ons:(26 303.1, 26 303.2, 26 303.3, and 26 303.4) are met.

variance request to waive 34 required parking spaces for'the Farrell
.House. `Restaurant at 222 Weller' Street.

the City Council, if they cannot make findings in.the event_an appeal.is .
filed, to explore_ alternate approaches for',parking in this-.area-to: permit
reopening of the Farrell House,, including the possibility of establishing...
a new parking assessment district.
