R ESPONDENCE : Letter presented to the commission from Francis D. Merrill, 509 Maplewood Drive. DIRECTOR'S REPORT Mr. Freitas summarized the meeting November 8th with owners of property in the Jess /Payran area (Linda Del Mar) regarding relocation of homes out of the floodway. Speakers: Susan Dehaan, applicant Martin Pozzi,, 307 Dana St. Russell Kerbey; 308.Dana St. The public hearing was closed. Motion introduced.by Comm. Lavin, seconded by Comm. Item 11.730 - To' evaluate the environmental- impact questionnaire for the following:. Item 3.296 - To consider prezoning to . "R1 -20, 000 ".(Single Family Residential - two units per acre, AP #'s. 19- 203 -16 & 36;.19- 401-04 through 14, with approximately. 4 acres of parcel 19- 401 -02 proposed for prezoning to "R1- 20,000" and the,r.emaining 16 acres proposed for prezoning to "A" (Agriculture).. This action is taken in anticipation of annexing these parcels in conjunction with the proposed annexation for the future Westridge Subdivision Phases IV and V. The public hearing was opened by:Chairman Shearer: Speakers.: Courtland Pelton, 2510 Sunset Terrace Arthur Hagopian, 34 Laurel Avenue The public hearing was closed. Tencer, seconded by Comm. Popp to recommend thelcity council approve the proposed prezoning based.on recommended findings. i AYES: 4 NOES: 0 ABSENT: 3 (Bond, Head, and Hilligoss) Staiff will set up a neighborhood meeting approximately mid January for parties involved in the-prezoning to discuss,prezoning /annexation. I� IV. PLANNING MATTERS 4I �,. Open °discussion by commissioners with regard . to.items /issues of ,special interest which should be the subject of subsequent "workshop" sessions. II= Staff indicated they would bring back a list of wori;shoD items for prioritizing at the next meeting. MCDOWELL BLVD. - USE PERMIT - ARCADE ITEM 1.371 CONDITIONS 1. The number of games within the Straw Hat Pizza Parlor shall not exceed fifteen (15) games. 2. The proposed bicycle stalls shall be-designed and 'installed to the satisfaction of the Community Development and Planning Department within 30 days of approval of the use permit. 3. Temporary outdoor advertising banners are not permitted by the city sign ordinance or the approved shopping center sign program„ and as such shall not be used on the subject building space.
