ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT - P-C/P.U:.D. ZONING DISTRICTS- E..I.Q. EVALUATION

Item`11.618 - The Planning Commission directed the.Community Development
Director to issue a Negative Declaration for the Zoning Ordinance Amendment.
The public hearing was opened and closed. Motion introduced by Comm. Head;
seconded by Comm. Waite to direct staff to prepare a Negative Declaration
for the project, based on the standard findings.

ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT - .P=C_/P,:U.D, ZONING DISTRICTS -
Itemi'7.83 - The Planning 'Director. explained �th s"'is -the first step in the
matching zoning to update the allotment system that the City Council has
under. review. It will provide a vehicle whereby any project independent of
its present residential zone would be required to go through a P.U.D. device
so there would be a zoninghearing required.

The public hearing was opened and closed. Motion introduced by Comm. Head;
,seconded by Comm. Cavanagh to recommend to the City Council approval of an
amendment.to Zoning Ordinance 1072'N..C.S., by amending Chapter 19 to revise
procedures "f.or P-C, Planned Community Districts, to create a separate Chapter
19.A ,to govern P.U.D. Zoning Districts, and repealing Sections 26-700 through
26-705.4 which have been. -added to Chapter 19.
