future. Mr. Gray advised the - Commission that a His-.
toric & Cult ural Preservation Committee.had not as
yet been ,appointed by the Mayor ;and the project there-
fore had not been given review from a historical
standpoint,, He added. that the structure was in good
condition but was not unique, since other architecm
ture of the same nature existed in Petaluma; and a
good deal of' iconversion had been done in - - the h ouse
The Public Hearing was ppened, and.Mr. Dennis Pool'er
addressed the Commission representing Heritage Home's.
He stated that he felt the Historic & Cultural Preser-
vation Committee should be appointed as- soon as possib;leo
In the absence of this Committee he felt that Heritage
Homes should be notified when demolitfonor condem-
nation procedures -are in the process :so. that any valuable
interior! items of historic value could be saved.
Mr. Poo.ler asked if .a• fea.s.ibili•ty study had' been made
by the church f or , an alternate site for the parking
lot that wou allow •the house to .remai.n, and also

just not available . He also stated that the Heritage
Homes organization had known :about the structure for
at 'least six months, and the church had already made
arrangements to save items of historic value
Mr. Belluomini therefore. feat that the rdhurch :should
be allowed to ,go ahead with their plans for demolition,
since . c`onsiderable time and money had already been
spent in trying to save the structure
