4 (Porsu:u~tto the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972)

6 The City Council of the City of Petaluma resolves:

a 1. The City Council proposes to form an assessment district pursuant to the
9 Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (Section 22500 and following, Streets and Highways
Io Code) for the purpose of the following improvements:

Iz The maintenance of all the public landscaping improvements as part of
I3 "Woodside Village Subdivision" consisting of street trees between sidewalk and
la curb located on Woodside Circle, Capri Avenue, and Maria Avenue from Capri
Is Avenue south to Capri Creek. Also consisting of plant materials, trees,
16 irrigation systems, and pathways located in a landscaped azea which is
17 approximately 10 ft. wide and begins at Maria Drive, goes along the south side
la of Woodside Circle (behind curb), and ends where Woodside Circle turns north,
I9 also known as the Capri Creek Open Space Corridor (Parcel A), as shown on
20 the Assessment Diagram for Woodside Village Landscape Maintenance
21 District.

23 2. The proposed assessment district shall be designated Woodside Village Landscape
2a Maintenance District, City of Petaluma, Sonoma County, California, and shall include the land
25 shown on the map designated "Assessment Diagram, Woodside Village Landscape
26 Maintenance District, City of Petaluma, Sonoma County, California" which map is on file
27 with the City Clerk.
2a 3. Tom Hargis, Director of Engineering, is hereby designated engineer for .the purpose
z9 of these formation proceedings. The City Council hereby directs the engineer to prepare and.
3o file with the City Clerk a report in accordance with Article 4 of Chapter 1 of the Landscape
31 and Lighting Act of 1972.

t 4. Notice is hereby given that Monday December 15, 1997 at the hour of 7:00 PM, in
2 the regulaz meeting place of said Council, Council Chambers, City Hall, 11 English Street,
3 Petaluma California, be and the same are hereby appointed and fixed as the time and place for
a a hearing by this Council on the question of the levy and collection of the proposed
5 assessments for this District for the maintenance in said improvements and when and where it
6 will consider all statements and all written protests made or filed by any interested person at or
7 before the conclusion of said hearing, against said maintenance, the boundaries of the
s district, the proposed diagram or proposed assessments, to the Engineer's estimate of the cost
9 thereof, and when and where it will consider and finally act upon the Engineeer's Report for
to the District.
1 t 5. The City Clerk is. hereby directed to give notice of said hearing by causing a copy of
l2 this resolution to be published once in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, and by
13 posting a copy of thereof upon the official bulletin board customarily used by the Council for
la the posting of notices, and mailing a notice and ballot to the owners of property in said district
is who have not signed a consent form, said posting and mailing to be had and completed at least
16 forty-five (45) days prior to the date of hearing specified herein.
l7 6. The Director of Parks and Recreation andlor the Director of Finance of said City is
18 hereby designated as the person to answer inquiries regarding any protest proceedings to be
19 had herein, and may be contacted during regular office hours at the Petaluma City Hall, 11
zo English Street; Petaluma, California or by calling (707)778-4380.
