Theatre Screen; the second item on this agenda.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT: The City._Council held th residential allotment
hearings and after hearing 'the various developers
who'had appeals; the•mattes ; was continued-. special Council Meeting on
May 29, 1979.

indicates,.that in very diff i 'situati'ons the commission can recommend of

ally •interi•ded - to - be' - used in - areas that were very difficult or impractical' to subdivide
in any other way :w thin the' city; particularly hilly terrain or .very deep lots. It
has been

the city particularly ' wants avoid. The st'af:f .has':been working on several methods
that would` provide public .access :to four. on less =lots . which•. -will.:be lbrought before the
Commission,for:discus ion in the near future.

Res. 27 -7.9 approving an amendment Zoning Or-dinance.1072 N.C.S. by adding Sections
11 -409; 12 -409; 14 -407 and 15- 408 -.12 as conditionally permitted - uses,'to include
Veterinary Clinics as Conditional Uses•in.0 -N and C -C zoning...districts and veter-
inary clinics,'animal hospitals and kennels as- conditional uses -- in M -L and M -G
zoning. districts, based on the findings of'staff. `Public Hearing was
opened and closed. Motion made by Comm. Hoffman; seconded by Comm. Popp.
1. No adverse comments were received.
2. Potential,noise disturbance will be .mitigated by existing City,Use_Permit
procedures-and Performance Standards.
3. The modification is consistent with. the General Plan and Environmental
Design Plan.
