Aee Chamberstof the City Hall,` Tuesday evening,
>.: July 23rd, 1929:, at 7:.30 to further discuss the suggestion
of planing- five foot sidewalks on each id:e . of Baker-,Street.
The 'members present were >: Mrs. Harrill oz1, Mr Cronwell,
Mr. Gonzalez, Mr. Thomas, Mr. Jones, Mr., Evans, Mr. Green and
secretary McFadden.
The, Chairman called the meeting to order.. A very
-satisfac•t.o,ry discussion followed, most of the property owners
presert. ; ng themselves as in favor of having the sidewalks.
There, being but 1- 378 fe -et repre=sentative of the 2500 feet
,invdlved Mr., .Thomas moved seconded `by Mr Gonzalez, that- a petition
be circulated among the property owners wherein they would agree
to .give up five. feet of` their property, .p- rovding that the 'poles
o n the street be removed., - and also that if the majority did
not sgn_the petition that other means would be tried to agreeably
obtain the required five feet of land. The motion carried and
