Present: Commissioners Richards, Popp, Stanley, and Gatewoodo Absent: Commissioner. Gans. y APPR OVAL OF MINUTES - the minutes for the meeting of August 4, 1964, were approved a's submitted. CORRESPONDENC none MYREL MOSS, USE PERMIT,. FILE U15 -64, PUBLIC HEARING Chairman Gatewood opened the public hearing, for use permit application filed by Myrel Moss to allow a telephone answering service and an employment agency in an R- °M -1500 zone at 247 Keokuk Street, In the absence of the Director of Planning, Commissioner Stanley read an unfavorable staff report which was made part of the permanent:file, Mr. and Mrs. - Myrel Moss were present and addressed the Com- mission stating it was their opinion that this business as applied for would not increase • the traffic load because they have been performing the .telephone answering service - in conjunction with their accounting business. In reviewing their existing operation*, the applicant stated that they had not hired the additional employee granted under- the 1959 use permit for an accounting service. Mr. o -A 1 Liparini, 24`8` Keokuk Street, ; addressed the Commission speaking in favor of the application. No objections were voiced from the audience. The Commission members voiced - o objections to the telephone answer- ing service but it was the feeling of the Commission that the employment agency would create mot e pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the area° .Mr. so . Moss addressed the Commission again stating that upon the advice of the Staff they had applied for a tele- phone answering service and employment agency but would be happy if the Commission would .grant only the .telephone answering service. She added that the Pacific Tele- phone Company was keeping a listing open for them in the new telephone directory pending,` Commission approval. Res. No. U15 --64, denying the use permit, was intro-,' duced by Commissioner: 'Richards, seconded by Commissioner Stanley, roll call on this resolution carried by the following vote: Ayes: Commissioners Richards, Stanley, and Gatewoodo Noes: Commissioner Popp, Absent: Com_ miss - Toner. Gans. After some discussion, the -Commission* suggested that 'Mr. and Mrs.. Moss contact Mr..Byrd,a:nd request a telephone poll of the Commissioners. regarding the telephone answering service in order to expedite the matter. /_/ -Z Planning Commission Meeting ,August 1$, 1964. k DAN TOC OSE PERMI FILE U16 -64, .PUBLIC HEARING Chairman ;Ga.tewood opened the public hearing for use permit application filed by Dan TocchIni to allow an outdoor advertising structure in a -C -H Zone (no.rtherly side of Stony Point Road adjacent to Stony. Point - -Redwood .Highway intersection). Commissioner 'Stanley read a favorable staff report which was made part of the permanent file. No objections were voiced from the audience whereupon Res. U16 -64, granting the use permit was ;introduced by Commissioner _Popp, seconded by Com- nziss'ioner Stanley, and .passed unanimously by all members'preseizto RIVER PAR SUBDIVISION, TENTATIVE MAP, . FILE 38 -64 Commissioner Stanley read a report: from the City Engineer relative to the tentative map of River Park Subdivision. Res. No. 38-64, app-K- ov ilg the .tentative map, was (p ' introduced by Commissioner Richards, seconded by Commissioner Popp, and passed unanimous V , by all members present subject "to the conditions as set forth in the re- port of the 'City Engineer. P . 136- 0,9 -16 - .(MARIE CONVE PROPERTY) FRO AN R- 1- -10 000 Z ONE TO AN R,- 1 -60 ZONE, PUBLIC HEARING, Chairman kGatewood opened the public hearing for the above rezoning, The Staff l report was - pre'sented and made part of the permanent file, No protests were voiced from the audience whereupon Res. Z12 -64, recommending the rezoning to the Council, was introduced by Commissioner Popp,, seconded by Commissioner Stanley, and passed unanimously by all members present. DES REVIEW, PA FUNERAL CHAPEL. „✓ The Comm,i'ssion reviewed the -sketches presented. by Richard Lieb and Art Parent for the proposed funeral chapel proposed to be, constructed on Magnolia Avenue and Keokuk Street The Staff .report was presented. and made part of the permanent_ file. Commissioner Richards, made ,a motion, secoded by Commissioner Stanlev, that the Planning Commission accept the design review for the Parent Funeral Chapel and passed unanimously by all members pr.ese.pt,, Mr. Art Hansen, representing, Marinoma Realty, addressed the Commission; requesting Comm - issio z approval of a .proposed mobile home park -just outside the City limits , on North McDowell Boulevard near ;the North San Francisco Ba :y Industrial Park S;ubdiv.ision. The Commission informed Mr...'Hansen :he should file an application with the County -2- Planning Commission Meeting August 18, 1964 . Planning Commission and the County would refer this matter to the City Planning Commission before acting .upon the applIcation, ADJOURNMENT - there being,no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned6 -3- '/j
