PRESENT: Commissioners Gans, Popp, Richards, Stanley, Gatewood. ABSENT, None STAFF. George Miller., Assistant City Engine:er. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes for April 6, 1965'were approved as submitted. The minutes for April 12, 1.9 65 were corrected as follows: COMMISSION POLICY RE SPECIAL MEETINGS following last sentence add - Exception shall justified by the Chairman of the Planning Commission. CORRESPON Mr. Miller informed the Commission that Ranchettes No. 2 Subdivi- sion was I referred to the Planning Commission for their recommendation. Mr. M! 11 e I r read correspon.deric,e'relative to said subdivision from Mr. Byrd (directed to the County) and a short report, to the Planning Com- - mi,ssion. The Director of Public Works report concerning said Subdi- vision was also read. The Commission reviewed the map and generally agreed with the reports presented. A motion was made by Comm. Stanley,. seconded b Popp, and passed, recommending that the subdivision be ap- proved subject to the recommendations setforth in the City Engineer's report LESTER L. SULLIVAN. USE PERMIT. FILE U12-65 The Chairin reopened public hearing concerning the use permit ap plication filed by Lester L. Sullivan to allow a self-operating car wash at 600 East Washington Street. Mr. MilleT' ' �r M ad a favorable re- port from the Planner (said report being a permanent part of the file). SITE DESIGN APPROVAL FOR SULLIVAN CAR WASH 5 A motion was - made by Comm., Stanley, seconded by Comm. Popp to approve the site design for the above' stated' car wash to - be 1,ocat.ed at. 600 East Washington Street. The motion carried unanimously. ,10 MASFjL1, VARIANCE,'FILE V1l-65 The Commission considered a varlance'application filed by Paul Masel1i P 1:a in g Commission Minutes April 20, 1965 to allow setbacks of 2 & 3? respectively for proposed building at 527 Wilson Street (A.P. 7-11-4), Mr. Miller read the staff report (made paid, of the permanent file), No objections were voiced where- upon Res., V11-65, granting the variance with the condition as stated in the Planner°s report9 introduced by Comm. Richards, seconded by Comm. Gans and passed unanimously.
