Home My WebLink AboutResolution 2007-127 N.C.S. 07/16/2007 Resolution No. 2007-127 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY BAIL SCHEDULE FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE PETALUMA MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has established and maintained a recommended Bail Schedule for non-traffic violations of the Municipal Code; and, WHEREAS, the current City of Petaluma Recommended Bail Schedule indicates that recommended bail amounts include all base bail amounts, and state and county penalties and assessments; and, WHEREAS, the City has been advised by the Sonoma County Superior Court Clerk that the court is converting its bail computation computer system and will no longer be able to process "all inclusive" bail amounts and is requiring all cities to submit Recommended Bail Schedules which recommend base bail amounts only; and, WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to modify the Bail Schedule for the City of Petaluma to correspond to the new requirements of the Sonoma County Superior Court, facilitate use of the bail schedule by court and City staff, and ensure that all violations of the Petaluma Municipal Code have corresponding bail amounts.. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Petaluma, that the recommended Bail Schedule, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and pertaining to violations of the City of Petaluma Municipal Code and City of Petaluma Ordinances, is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Sonoma County Clerk's office for approval by the Presiding Judge, which, upon approval, will be used by the Court in processing citations issued for violations of the City of Petaluma Municipal Code and City of Petaluma Ordinances.
