In answer to a question from Mr. He:nrIS, Mr. IMcGivern explained the proposed Ivt spI it pos =e.d. s;.everaI technical problems, such as access t.r� the proposed parcels, shape of the parcels, etc. FoI'lo ng further discussion, the Comm4 ss i on upf, e I d th -e sta'f ; ' recommendation to request the :County P Commission to delay action on the ,app Iication until January 22, 1970 in ordier to give,the Ci Staff time to determine the best',lan.d use the area in question. The Commission reviewed the use permit application f,iled with the Sonoma Cniant Planning. Commi b Martin A.. .Ga to permit storage facilities for boats, t,ra;i lers, car >,, etc. at 306 McDowell Road, North Mr. McGivern ilnform.ed the Commission there is a d:eJinite need for this type of use but was concerned about allowing the proposed commercial use without proper cont'roll. If the use permit was granted, periodic review of the' operation by the County should .be 'm,ade to ass'u.re c o m p a t i b i l i t y with the de °ve I opment trend around the subject site,. Mr. McG i vern stated the Petaluma Alrea General Plan. designates Limited Industrial zon n,g for the area. In the event the s i t e i s_ anne,xeld to the City, the, use could become non - confo Mr. Gavriloff was present and said the odd - shaped parcel, ad.,jacent to a railroad, would . not lend itself to any other type of use.
