CORRESPONDENCE:
Mr. McGivern reported to the Commission that .Ordinance # 1035 N.C.S. was
approved at las*t nights' meeting ofthe City Council, The Ordinance amends
Chapter 2, Article 3, Section 2.38 through 2-.4,31 of the Petaluma city Code
of 1958 to establish the Planning anning Commiss 7 members and to repeal the

p rovi din g ing a 'Board of Zoning Adjus-t-ments,
Mr.. McGivern reported the ordinance does the 7 members of the Commis-
sion that are now active. This ordinance becomes effective in 30 days.
ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN
Chairman Waters stated this, is not a public hearing.

After much discuss-ion, the Commission recommended
their original recommendation back to the City 'Coun-
c1l.
The Commission agreed with the City Council's recom-
mendation to delete the last line on Page 39.
The Comm agreed to- change the wordage, as
proposed,, by 'Mr. Macine, on Page 14 - Low Density nsity
Single Family Ar-ea:s.. The Council felt this new
wordage was acceptable.
Motion was introduced by.,Comm. Cerini, seconded by
Comm, Popp to approve these amended changes.
Motion passed unanimously by all members present.
INTRODUCTION TO A motion was introduced by Comm. Popp, seconded by

SONOMA COUNTY REFERRALS:
Mr.:Anderson read a report on a Sonoma County referral from the Sonoma
County Board of Zoning Adjus-tments... Mr. Roy K. Watt filed an Use Permit
application requesting a Flea'Market be approved on a 2.29 acre parcel
located on the southwest corner of Bodega Avenue and Cleveland Lane..

that the use be subject to review in one year to determine its compati-
bility with the surrounding uses:and Bod'ega,Avenue traffic, The.motion

motion was passed unanimously by all members present.
Mr. Anderson read a report on a Sonoma County referral from the Sonoma
County Planning Department. Mr. ,john Home-n filed a rezoning application
to rezonq a 2.35 acre parcel on the easterly side of Bodega Avenue lo-
cated approximately 80:0 feet south of Middl.e''Two Rock Road from "A"
(Agricultural) to C -2_P ( ; General Commercial') or some other district to
allow boat and trailer storage facilities. A'moton was introduced by
Comm. Cerini, seconded'by'Comm, Popp to direct the staff to forward a
letter to the Sonoma County Planning Department recommending the subject
*rezoning not be approved because of the incompatibility of the requested
commercial zoning with, the ..Petaluma. Area General, Plan designation for
rural development.. The motion was passed by all member - s present.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the
Planning Commission, the meeting was adjourned®
