CORRESPONDENCE The clerk announced that a joint meeting of the City Council and Planning Commission will- be held ;Septemb.er 11, 1961_, at 7e p.m. in the Council Chambers, E; WHITMIRE, PUBLIC HEARMG, `VARIANCE, .FhL°E NO,. V14 -6:1 The, Planning Commission conducted the public hearing for variance ap.1i,ca -.tion Y580, f led by F. Whitmire, 17 Co. -Linda Drive, to allow covered patio in side yard to extend to the property line .instead of pr,'ovid'ing required 5 .ft_. M Whitmire was p,res - -- t o behalf of her application. She stated t`he structure had- existed for 2 year and did riot. - realize they were v olat1ng any laws when they constructed same. The City Engineer gave a staff report outlining the violations and ug,ge sted' severa..l s;�obut to this problem: The Commission noted this se 'as being of the same nature as the var i,ance app 1 icat ion applied or by Gene Cr s .ani and therefore fe:'1Ft no action should be taken at this time pending the outcome dT the joi meeting to be held by the City Council and ,Planning Commission to establish a ba;sac policy for act'i;on on matters of this * kind. Commissioner Stanley made the motion to table this application; until after said meeting. - It wa =s seconded by Commis St imson - and passed unanimously by a;ll members p- resent.
