Robert Meyer, C Ma Marino Crinella, CounclUman ,PUBLIC HEARINO, NEW ZONING MAP V/ Chairman Popp opened the public hearing on the proposed new city zoning map by asking Mr. Byrd to give a- brief resume of same. The audience was then Invited to voice their abject'lons, If any., to the proposed zoning map. The followin raised. Phil Joerger, a Denman Flat property owner, requested that his commercial zoning, a 200 ft, strip on the wes-t side old Highway 101, between Will,ow Creek and the crossing, be in- creased to " 450 ft.. Mr. Bruce Morehead, developer, stated that he believed Mr. Joerger was fully ;justified fri his request. ?A Mrs. Harris, 504 "D Street protested the R-2 zoning of her property and asked to have It zoned R.-3,. Bill Stevenson, of Coldwell Banker, an investment and'deVelop- ment firm, handling Mrs. Maria Novak"s property on East Washington Street, protested the R-1 zoning of her property saying -that-' - Mrs. Novak had acquired the property on a commercial basis and the single-family residential listed on the zoning map would Impose a hardship. Attorney Harold Cutl.er, of Swan:son,.& Cutler who are develop- ing the Washington Square. James Scott, .o . wner of property on,C'enter Avenue, protested the R-1 zoning of�hls property and wishes it to remain R-3. -Mr. Thayer, who owns property on Edith Street between East D and Jefferson Str_eets, protested the proposed change from R-3 t,'o R-1. Mr. Byrd ekplained that as his property abuts light Industrial zoning, he will be able to use it as R ®3 with a use permit. Petaluma City Planning Commission August 21 1962 NORTH S.F. BAY INDUSTRIAL. PARK, TENTATIVE MAP APPROVAL, FILE #155 Resolution 155, approving the tentative map-of North - S.F. Bay Industrial Park filed by Bruce Morehead, was introduced - by Comm. Gus- t'af sbn-and s_odond.ed by Coni - Stahley - ; -, and unanimous ly., approved by all members present with te condition that prior to submitting the final map, public improvements meet the approval of the Department of Public Works. PETALUMA PROPERTIES, USE PERMIT,,­..FILE NO. U30 - ®62 Vincent Schoeningh was present on behalf of the application filed by Petaluma Properties for reissuance of Use Permit U7-60 to construct and operate alservice station-..at 200 So. McDowell Blvd. A staff report was presented' by Mr. Byrd. Resolution U30-62, grant- ing the use permit, was introduced by Comm. Stanley and seconded by Comm. Gustafson and was passed unanimously by all members present, subject to the condition's listed in the use permit. TRANS LEASING CORPORATION:, USE PERMIT.,, FILE I NO. U31-62 Resolution U31-62, granting a use permit to Trans Leasing Cor- poration to allow a delux mobile home court on A.P. #7-391-4 In a "U" zone, was y introduced b Comm. Stanley and.seconded by Comm. 1. Gustafson and was unanimously passed by a.11 members present subject to the conditions listed in the use permit. APPROVAL OF MINUTES I The minut;es for the meeting of August 7, 1962 were approved as submitted,
