Chairman Popp opened the meeting by welcoming Commissioner Richard
S. Lieb to the Planning Commission.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes for the meeting of August 21, 1962 were approved as
submitted.

sented by Mr. Byrd in whic'h'h stated that although the existing building

ence. Resolution V7-62, rec.ommendfng.to the City Council that said vari-
ance be granted, was introduc by'Comm. Stan-ley,., seconded by Comm. Lieb
and unanimously Passed by all members present.

Use Permit applicationA014 filed by Mrs. Betty Colin to conduct a
home for foster children part -time basis located at 709 Street was
reviewed. The clerk state -d that hat said premises were found to be in satis-
factory condition upon inspecii.on by the F . Ira Chief. U32-62, granting the
use permit, was introduced by Comm. Stanley, seconded by Comm. Lieb and
passed by all members unanimously*

Special meeting of t -he Petaluma City Planning Commission held on
September 11 1962 at 9.'30 o'clock p.m. in the'Couneil Chamber,
City Hall.
Present, Commissioners Lieh., Stanley, Popp
Absent, Commissioner Gustafson
Following a study session with the City Council Chairman Popp
called the special meeting of the Petaluma City Planning Commission
to order. Resolution 156, approving the-proposed zoning map and
recommending to the City Council its adoption as modified, was in-
troduced by Commissioner Stanley, seconded by Commissioner Lieb, and
unanimously passed by all members present.
NOTE, During the study session with.the Council preceding
the special meeting,, the clerk read a letter from
Mrs. Thomas J':. Caulfield protesting the neighborhood
commercial zoning of the area facing on Hopper St,
between the P.G.E. property and the Longhorn, on the
corner of Hopper and Washington Streets and requested
that it remain industrials. Another request was read
from Mr. & Mrs. Fred Momsen protesting the R ®1 zoning
of their lot at the corner of Fair Street and Western
Avenue.
