' Director of Planning Robert Meyer, City Manager APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes for the meeting of October 16, 1962 were approved as sub- mitted. CORRESPONDENCE - None C. J. RUEGGE, USE PERMIT FILE NO. U39-62 ✓ C. J. RUEGGE, VARIANCE,, :FILE NO. V10-62 Mr. Byrd informed the Commission that ,Mr. Rueg,ge had filed application for the reissuance of Use Permit U4.1-6 and Vailance V15 In view of the fact that the same' conditions would apply at thls time as were stipu- 1 on the originals, includfng the lot, surfacing., Mr. Byrd recommended the renewal of both applicat.tonso Res. Nob U'39-62' granting the Use Permit was introduced by Commissioner L'i.eb,, seconded by Comm. Gatewood and unani- mously passed by all member's present subject to the conditions listed in the Use Permit. Res. V10-62, recommending to the City Co'uncii that said variance be granted, was introduced.by�Comm. Popp, seconded by Comm. Gustafson and unanimously passed by all members present, subject to the condition listed in the Variance. CLINTON GARRETT, USE PERMIT., FILE NO. A staff report was presented by the Planning Director, in v which_ Informed the Commission that the Petaluma Area General Plan prom poses commercial development of this area. In addition, the building's proximity to the central business district allows ready access. Resolu- tion U41 ' -62, granting the Use Permit Application., was introduced by Comm, Gustafson, seconded by Comm, Popp and was unanimously passed by all members present subject to the cohdi'tions listed in. the Use Permit. REVIEW OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM ✓ Planning Director Robert Byrd called the Commission's attention to the fact that under the development of our 701 program., which included the M - • , ` izw Planning Commissi Nove'mber 7 9 1962 • ow. General Plan., the Zoning Ordinance, and the Capital Improvements program, the Commission has yet to. review and approve the latter and suggested that this item be placed on the agenda for the next me,eti.ng. (The Capital Im- provements program sets foirth the priority of' projects to be carried out in the city to meet a 198` and proposes future right-of-way widths). REGULATION OF STREET NAMES City Manager Robert Meyer suggested the Commission consider the mat- ter of naming new stre.ets:, as.pecia,lly In the 'case of future subdivisions. A uniform manner of naming new streets, i'n Petaluma would eliminate various problems which have arisen from the present system.
