The Regular Meeting of - the Planning Commission was
in the . Council Chambers P City Hall.
Present: - Commissioner Anderson, Ar-fs'ten & Hatch

t.To letters were sent to neighboring property
o of .the East Court lots and eight repaea were
received., All -eight replies were negative
due to
traffic congestion and noise.
Mr, Lee asked Rev W. H�. Johnson of Sebastopol to
'address the Commission in behalf of the church. Rev.
Johnson said he ;has been in Sebastopol bastopol for 13
and has never 11ad any complaints about the church for
any reason. He said, in f act, that the people were

Vice-chairmaxi Hatch informed Mr. Lee that unless hd
wished to pos action on the application pending
further information on it that the CoMMdsion would
have to act on -the appli c ation.
Mr. - Lee decided to take a petition, to, East Court and

A letter was read from Mt. W, B. Hawthorne in ivhich
he asked. for a variance in order to set back. 15 ft.

neiighboring property owners; Hr. HaWthorne was
present and Oxplained that he•would have to remove
solid fock, in order to maintamin the l8 fti setback.
The next lot: has a setback . of approximately 4& ft.
and the remainder of houses in that block have an
18" ft. setback,
As the'Co.mmiss could not. determine whether a use
permit .'or a, variance was required. action was delved
until a legal opinion could be ontaihed from the City
.Attorney.
The :Commission assured ilr., Rawthorne that they had no
Object'iohS to such 'a sotback but could not act on the
application until they knew whether it, required A use
permit or a variance,

The tentative map for Evans' 'Heights was
presented to the Coxmn3asiom, Llr., Ross said he would
prepare a report on the Subdivision in accordance
with the Subdivision Ordinance and present it to the
Cor .* ssion within a X(j days,. ' He said he would..
recommend that the street,. "F"a r Way"• be changed to
' ''day" as it would be confusing to have Pair
Street, 'North Fair Street and Fair flay A copy of
the tentative neap was sent to the 'Recreation Dept.,,
the Health Dept., the Fire Dept., °the G. E.
and the California Water Service Company for their
coitnents or recommendations

The Regular Meeting of the. Planning Commission was held in the
Council Chambers, City Hall at T:30 P.M., May 22, 1950.
Present: Commissioner Arfsten, Kinne & 'Hatch
Absent: Commis :sioner Anderson & DeLuca
City Officials Present - Mr. Ross & Mr. Brooks
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as mailed out.
Action was deferred until the Commission
could. hold a conf`erenc:e with Mr. Evans.
Mr. Ross was askke to talk with. 'Mr. : Evan -s
and a special meet °ing• will be called. to take
action, on the tentative map as soon . as Mr.
Evans has completed his survey and .is able
to t'e'll the Comm s,sion what variane.es he
wants ,
