HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 96-028 N.C.S. 01/16/1996;~i RESOLUTION NO. 9(i-28 N.C.S. 1 of the City of Petaluma, California 2 3 APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE FIRST STREET 4 GENERAL PLAN LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT TO RE-DESIGNATE 5 PROPERTIES LOCATED ALONG 1ST AND 2ND STREETS BETWEEN "D" 6 STREET AND THE FOUNDRY WHARF BUSINESS PARK FROM INDUSTRIAL TO 7 MIXED USE AS REFLECTED ON EXHIBIT A ATTACHED HERETO 8 9 WHEREAS, an Initial Study was prepared and the results of the study indicate that the to proposed amendment will not cause any significant adverse environmental impacts; and I1 12 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing at its regular 13 meeting of November 12, 1995, and considered the potential environmental impacts and 14 all written and verbal communications regarding the matter, prior to making their 15 recommendations for the project; and 16 17 WHEREAS, by action taken on November 12, 1995, the Planning Commission considered 18 and forwarded a recommendation to the City Council to approve a Negative Declaration 19 for the First Street amendment proposed by the Petaluma Planning Department pursuant 20 to the California Environmental Quality Act and local guidelines; and 21 22 WHEREAS, all reports and communicatiohs to the Planning Commission were forwarded 23 to the City Council; and 24 25 WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on this project on January 2, 1996, and 26 considered all written and verbal communications concerning potential environmental 27 impacts resulting from the project before rendering its decision; 28 2~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Petaluma City Council hereby 30 approves the Negative Declaration subject to the following findings: 31 32 Negative Declaration Findings: 33 34 1. An Initial Study has been prepared and proper notice provided in accordance with 35 CEQA and local guidelines. 36 37 2.
