HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 96-075 N.C.S. 03/18/1996 ' RESOLUTION NO. 9s_7s N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California APPROVING THE 1996-97 ACTION PLAN OP 'fHE PETALUMA CONSOLIDATED PLAN STRATEGY AND PROJECTED USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma is an entitlement community under the jurisdiction of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant program; and WHEREAS, the Consolidated Plan Strategy requires an annual Action Plan which. is comprised of the entitlement community's projected use of Block Grant funds to address community needs; and WHEREAS a Public Hearing was noticed and conducted to hear comments from the community on the proposed projects and programs; and WHEREAS. the Action Plan has been reviewed and considered by the City Council and found to be consistent with the priorities in the Petaluma 1995-99 Consolidated Plan; and WHEREAS, the 1996-97 Block Grant allocations as shown in Exhibit #1 may require adjustment due to ambiguities in the federal budgeting process; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Petaluma City Council that the Action Plan is approved and adopted for FY 1996-97; and that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the required Standard Form 424 and to submit that and all other required forms and certifications to HUD; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to respond to requests for additional information from HUD and modify the Action Plan or other required forms as may be required by future regulations or budget modifications issued by HUD. 96-97reso/wordwin Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
