a RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN
s LAND USE MAP BY RECONFIGURING THE LAND USE DESIGNATIONS
6 E_ STABLISHING AN ALTERNATE ALIGNMENT FOR A NEW COLLF,CTOR
7 ROAD; 701 SONOMA MOUNTAIN PARKWAY; APN 137-070-058

to WHEREAS, the City received an application to amend the General Plan Land Use Map
1 t to reconfigure the land use designations on the Gatti property (APN 137-070-058) and to
12. establish an alternate aligmnent-for a new collector road through the property pursuant to
13 previous City Council direction; and

15 WHEREAS, this amendment has been adopted following the City Council's adoption of
16 a Mitigated Negative Declaration for subsequent development of the, lauds affected as set
I7 forth in Resolution 96-140NCSnid

19 WHEREAS, the Petaluma Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on this
20 amendment on February 27 and March 12, 1996, and considered all written and verbal
21 communications on this matter before rendering their recommendation for approval to the
22 City Council; and this matter before rendering their recommendation for approval to the
23 City Council; and

25 WHEREAS, al] reports and communications to the Plaiming Commission were
26 forwarded to the City Council; and

28 WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on this amendment and considered all
29 written and verbal communication before rendering its decision;

31 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Petaluma City Council hereby
32 approves the above referenced General Plan Land Use amendment as reflected on Exhibit
33 A subject to the following findings:

35 Findings for the General Plan Amendment:

37 1. The proposed amendment is deemed to be in the public interest.

39 The proposed General Plan amendment is consistent and compatible with the rest
40 of the General Plan and any implementation programsYhat may be affected.

I 3. The potential impacts of the proposed amendment have been assessed and have
2 been determined not to be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare.

4 4. The proposed amendment has been processed in accordance with the applicable
5 provisions of the California Government Code and the California Environmental
6 Quality Act (CEQA).
