HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 96-127 05/20/1996 RESOLUTION NO. 96-127 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION REQUESTING CALTRANS TO PROVIllE INCREASED HOV LANE HOURS 1 WHEREAS, high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes are provided on Highway 101 within Marin 2 County; and 3 4 WHEREAS, HOV lanes currently are applicable during the hours of 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM and 5 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM; and 6 7 WHEREAS, the period of commute time has become extended because of the use of flexible 8 work liouis; 9 10 WHEREAS, Caltrans is studying the feasibility of extending the HOV lane hours within the bay 11 area; and 12 13 NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma supports 14 the concept of extending the HOV lane hours, and IS 16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petah~ma suggests that the 17 hours he amended as follows: 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
