6 AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
7 WITH. RICHARD R. RUDNANSKY, CITY ATTORNEY

11 WHEREAS, Richard R. Rudnansky was appointed City Attorney on July 1, 1989; and
12
13 WHEREAS, the City Council and Richard R. Rudnansky wish to amend the current
14 employment agreement; and
15
16 WHEREAS, the amendment will not increase the total compensation for Richard R.
17 Rudnansky.

19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma does
20 hereby approve the following amendments to said employment agreement:

22 2. COMPENSATION.
23 (a) CITY agrees to pay ATTORNEY Richard R. Rudnansky an
24 hourly rate of $109 for municipal law matters, $137 per hour plus
25 costs for litigation matters, and $148 for cost recovery matters
26 (i.e., development applications, assessment districts, recovery of
27 delinquent assessment payments and similar cost recovery
28 matters).
29 (b) Effective immediately, ATTORNEY shall be compensated for-the
30 use of a paralegal and law clerk time at $45 per hour, and
31 ATTORNEY shall be compensated for the use of assistant
32 attorneys at an hourly rate of $85 for municipal law matters, $110
33 for litigation matters, and $120 per hour for cost recovery matters
34 (i.e., development applications, assessment districts, recovery of

3 (c) The above hourly rates 'may be subject to annual reasonable
4 increases with said increases being subject to the approval of
5 CITY. Any such increases shall not be subject to any restrictions
6 imposed by statute after the execution of this amendment to
7 agreement.
8 d) CITY agrees to include ATTORNEY and his family on CITY's
9 dental insurance plan at the cost of ATTORNEY.

11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said
12 amendment to EMI'LOYMENT AGREEMENT on behalf of the City of Petaluma.

AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
This amendment is to the EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT between Richard R. Rudnansky
"ATTORNEY") and the City of Petaluma ("CITY") and is made and entered into as of this
day of M

RECITALS
WHEREAS, City of Petaluma and Richard R. Rudnansky currently have in place an EMPLOY-
MENT AGREEMENT; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Petaluma to adjust certain portions of the
compensation of Richard R. Rudnansky.
NOW, THEREFORE, City of Petaluma and Richard R. Rudnansky hereby agree to amend the
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT, and particularly paragraph 2 of said agreement, as follows:
2. COMPENSATION.
(a) CITY agrees to pay ATTORNEY Richard R. Rudnansky an hourly
rate of $109 for municipal law matters, $137 per hour plus costs for
litigation matters, and $148 for cost recovery matters (i.e., develop-
ment applications, assessment districts, recovery of delinquent
assessment payments and similar cost recovery matters).
(b) Effective immediately, ATTORNEY shall be compensated for the

ATTORNEY shall be compensated for the use of assistant
attorneys at an hourly rate of $85 for municipal law matters, $110

increases with said increases being subject to the approval of CITY.
Any such increases shall not be subject to any restrictions imposed
by statute after the execution of this amendment to agreement.
(d) CITY agrees to include ATTORNEY and his family on CITY's
dental insurance plan at the cost of ATTORNEY.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, 'the City of Petaluma has caused this amendment to
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT to be signed and duly executed on its behalf by its Mayor and
duly attested by its City Clerk, and ATTORNEY has signed and executed this amendment to
agreement the date and year first above.
